Mr. Guoqing Li graduated from Peking University School of Law with LL.B., LL.M. and LL.D. degrees. During his studies there, he also obtained a full scholarship supporting him to earn an LL.M. degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

Mr. Li worked for Hogan Lovells and Mayer Brown as a senior associate and counsel, respectively, advising on multiple listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as well as general corporate matters. In 2011, Mr. Li became a partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng, advising on PRC companies’ listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the NASDAQ, and the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges. Mr. Li is recognized by the Ministry of Justice of China as one of the “One Thousand Leading Lawyers with Cross-Border Practices”.

In the area of M&A and private equity, Mr. Li advises Chinese companies in their PE financings.  He also advises reputable domestic and international investors in their acquisitions and PE investments in China, representing them in due diligence, structure design, negotiations and legal documentation. Mr. Li is particularly experienced in property development and acquisitions.

Mr. Li is qualified in the People’s Republic of China and the State of New York. He is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
