On October 25, 2019, the inaugural meeting of the legal professional Committee of Guangdong -hong kong-Macao cooperation promotion association was held in Guangzhou. The meeting was attended by 240 individual members and 30 unit members from the relevant principals of the Guangdong Provincial Government, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Guangdong),   Macao SAR Legal Affairs Bureau,  Hong Kong and Macao Affaire Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province,  Department of Justice of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, Guangdong’s Association For Promotion of Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macao, and Lawyers Association of Guangdong Province, as well as the  legal professionals from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Lawyer Luo Wanwen, chief partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng Hong Kong Office, and lawyer Zhou Xuan, partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng Shenzhen Office, participated in the meeting as the representatives of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Guangdong Province respectively. During the meeting, Lawyer Luo Wanwen and Lawyer Zhou Xuan were respectively elected as the executive deputy director and deputy director of the "First Legal Professional Committee of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Cooperation Promotion Association". Lawyer Luo Wanwen said, "Jingtian & Gongcheng will rely on a comprehensive legal service team to provide the Clients with the value-added solutions and the best quality legal services for the Great Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and to solve commercial problems in the development in the Great Bay Area for promoting the common development of the laws of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao." The two partners said that as the legal representatives in Guangdong and Hong Kong, they were deeply honored to participate in the inaugural meeting and be elected as the relevant responsible person. They also said that they would set an example and jointly promote the continuous improvement of legal service capacity in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Since the development plan for the Great Bay Area is announced by the central government , Jingtian & Gongcheng will seize new historical opportunities, follow closely the development strategy of the Great Bay Area with practical actions, expand the Shenzheng office, strengthen the hong kong office, and actively set up the Guangzhou office in the Great Bay Area to satisfy the diversified legal service needs of the Clients.
