April 27, 2018 – The 15th “Jingtian & Gongcheng” Associate Lawyer Competition came to a successful conclusion at the China University of Political Science and Law. This competition, the 15th since its debut in 2004, was organized by the Associate Lawyer Association of the China University of Political Science and Law. All the sophomore and above law school undergraduates and students pursuing a joint and/or master’s degree in law in Beijing and Tianjin were invited to participate in the competition, which consists of three rounds: preliminary in written format, semi-final in interview and final round in case analysis and mock trial. As the joint sponsoring law firm, Jingtian & Gongcheng fully supported the event.
The judges of the semi-final were Ruoting Xie, Litigation and Arbitration partner of Jingtian & Gongcheng, Linghong Du, Securities Business partner of Jingtian & Gongcheng and Jun Qiu, Chief Officer of Human Resources of Jingtian & Gongcheng. For the final, Da Li, and Yue Liu, Securities Business Partner and Litigation and Arbitration attorney at Jingtian & Gongcheng, together with Professor Tianhong Zhao and Xiuqing Yang from the China University of Political Science and Law served as the judges.
After two rounds of elimination eight contestants with solid law foundations and critical thinking ability entered the final, among whom Ziqi Zhao, 2015 undergraduate of Law School China University of Political Science and Law, Zekun Li, 2017 postgraduate of International Law in China Foreign Affairs University and Shixuan Chen, 2014 undergraduate of Civil and Economic Law School at China University of Political Science and Law emerged as the top three winners. These three best contestants were automatically granted an internship at Jingtian & Gongcheng.
