Harry Zhao obtained both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Public Administration. He is a licensed lawyer in China, holds a Fund Practitioner Qualification, and has passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination and Securities Industry Qualification examinations, among others.

 

In 2025, Mr. Zhao joined Jingtian & Gongcheng and was approved as a partner by the firm. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2025, he had accumulated extensive experience at leading domestic financial institutions, technology R & D institutions, and renowned law firms.

 

Mr. Zhao specializes in litigation and arbitration in the fields of corporate and commercial law, banking and trust, fund and securities, investment and financing, and cross-border transactions. Leveraging his interdisciplinary professional background in finance and technology, he excels in handling difficult and complex cases involving investment disputes, technology-related disputes, and cross-border matters. He has achieved significant breakthroughs in multiple represented cases, including successful reversals in second-instance or retrial proceedings, earning widespread acclaim from clients.

 

In dispute resolution, Mr. Zhao has successfully handled highly challenging cases for Central State-owned Enterprises, Fortune 500 multinational corporations, listed companies, technology firms, major state-owned commercial banks, trust companies, and asset management companies. He possesses extensive experience in financial asset management, technological innovation, corporate commercial disputes, civil-criminal interplay cases, and cross-border legal services project. In cross-border legal services, he has assisted clients in completing multiple cross-border transactions, with projects covering international trade, cross-border investment, and financing, among other areas.

 

Mr. Zhao currently serves as a member of the Foreign-Related Legal Services Committee of the Chengdu Lawyers Association and is listed in the Sichuan Province Foreign-Related Legal Talent Pool.
