Mr.Wei Zihang (Harold) graduated from China Foreign Affairs University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in law.
Mr. Wei joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2016 and was approved to be a partner by the firm in 2025.
Mr. Wei specializes in antitrust/competition law, cross-border investment, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, capital markets, corporate compliance and perennial legal counsel.
In the area of cross-border investment and mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Wei has extensive experience and has represented numerous well-known domestic and international enterprises and investment institutions, including Huawei, China Venture Capital, National Integrated Circuit Industry Fund, China International Capital Corporation, SoftBank, SAIF Partners, Macquarie Group, Warburg Pincus, Taikang Insurance, Sino-Ocean Capital, China Everbright Limited, Allianz Insurance, NetEase Cloud Music, Huangshan Tourism, Pizu Group, etc. He provides clients with comprehensive legal services for domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, including transaction structure design, legal due diligence, commercial negotiation, drafting of transaction documents and dealing with closing, issuance of legal opinions, etc. Mr. Wei is adept at identifying transaction risks, understanding transaction difficulties, proposing constructive solutions based on clients’ commercial demands, and efficiently facilitating transactions across various industries, including but are not limited to technology, advanced manufacturing, new energy and new materials, biomedicine, TMT (telecom, media, and technology), new economy, consumption, finance, insurance, etc.
In the field of competition law/antitrust, Mr. Wei has handled dozens of Chinese antitrust filing cases, antitrust investigation cases, and compliance consultations, across various industries, including but not limited to finance, TMT, automotive, pharmaceuticals, retail, internet, ports, real estate, manufacturing, etc.
Mr. Wei holds the qualification to practice law in China and has been selected into the Beijing Lawyers Association’s talent pool for foreign-related lawyers.
