CHEN Wei graduated from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences with Master degree in Physics Chemistry.
Mr. Chen has worked in Jingtian & Gongcheng since 2022.(Prior to this, he worked in a IP law firm for 13 years with as patent attorney, supervisor and vice president.)
Mr. Chen specializes in protection of intellectual property rights, and litigation and arbitration. He focuses on New and Renewable Sources of Energy, Chemical engineer, Life Sciences and High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
Mr. Chen's primary areas of expertise includes intellectual property protection, litigation, and arbitration. He specializes in fields such as new energy, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and high-end equipment manufacturing. Mr. Chen excels in patent drafting, responding to Office Actions, reexamination, invalidation, infringement analysis, and related administrative and infringement litigation work in various technical domains. Additionally, Mr. Chen is particularly experienced in providing patent portfolio building and training for enterprises and institutions of higher education.
Throughout his career, Mr. Chen has undertaken a considerable amount of patent-related work, including successfully representing clients in several significant patent reexamination, patent invalidation, and administrative and infringement litigation cases, as well as assisting numerous clients in global patent portfolio management.
Mr. Chen also possesses extensive experience in conducting intellectual property due diligence and freedom-to-operate (FTO) investigations for M&A and IPO projects. He advised a number of hi-tech and bio-tech companies in financing and IPO projects on their IP issues.
Mr. Chen obtained the license of Patent Attorney in the People's Republic of China in 2012 and passed the Chinese Bar Examination in 2015.
