In November 2022, regarding a foreign-related judicial review involving third-party funding of arbitration, Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court (BFIPC) made a groundbreaking ruling of dismissing the application for cancelling the arbitral award filed by the award debtor. This is the first judicial review involving third-party funding of arbitration in China that Jingtian & Gongcheng participated in, which has successfully upheld the arbitration award despite being challenged by non-enforcement and annulment proceedings.
