In order to implement the important instructions of the central government on developing foreign-related legal services, and cultivating and reserving high-quality lawyers familiar with international rules and with a global outlook and international vision to better protect China’s economic security and development interests, to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of China’s institutions and personnel overseas, and to further contribute to the implementation of Beijing’s 14th Five-Year Plan and the development of “two zones”, namely the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and China(Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the Beijing Lawyers Association(BLA) has decided to expand the existing BLA foreign-related lawyer talent pool. Five more partners of Jingtian & Gongcheng, Zhang Lei, Yao Xiaohui, Shen Cheng, Shi Qing, and Xu Zhiyong, were recently named on the 2021 BLA Foreign-Related Lawyer Talent Pool List published by BLA.
Up to now, a total of 50 lawyers from Jingtian & Gongcheng have ranked on the foreign-related lawyer talent pool established by the Ministry of Justice and provincial and municipal talent pools.

To date, Jingtian & Gongcheng has completed over 900 domestic and overseas IPOs, and over 350 overseas bond issuance projects, with 62 overseas IPOs, 84 overseas bond issuance projects, 36 foreign investment projects, 74 cross-border M&A projects, and over 20 foreign-related arbitration projects being completed in 2020 alone. In 2020, Jingtian & Gongcheng won "Asian Law Firm of the Year" by The Asian Lawyer and “Golden League”, China Business Law Journal's most prestigious award for Chinese law firms. Jingtian & Gongcheng was awarded "China (PRC Firms) Finance Law Firm of the Year" in Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards 2021. According to the 2020 Global Capital Markets and China Equity Capital Markets Legal Advisor Report published by the leading provider of financial market data Refinitiv, Jingtian & Gongcheng ranked first in Chinese Overseas Equity and Equity Related: Legal Advisor—Manager/Issuer Ranked by Deal Count.
