Yugang Ren graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree in law.

Ren joined Jingtian & Gongcheng Law Firm in the year 2018 and became a partner in 2019. Before joining Jingtian & Gongcheng Law Firm, Ren had worked in Beijing Yida Law Firm as a lawyer and later a partner for 11 years.

Ren's main business areas include criminal defense, criminal compliance, and criminal risk prevention, civil-criminal cross dispute resolution, civil and commercial litigation and arbitration.

In 2016, Ren was awarded the 2015-2016 Outstanding Communist Party Member of Beijing Lawyers by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice and Beijing Lawyers Association.

In 2012, Ren was awarded the Outstanding Young Lawyer in Beijing Chaoyang District by the Chaoyang District Bureau of Justice and the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association.

In the field of criminal law business, Ren provides clients with legal advice related to criminal law and criminal procedure law; provides clients with special training on anti-fraud, anti-malfeasance, anti-money laundering, and anti-business bribery; helps assisting clients to establish and improve criminal compliance and criminal risk prevention systems; helps assisting clients in evaluating the criminal risk under specific transactions as well as conducting internal self-examination of criminal offences that company’s employees may be involved in; helps assisting clients to cooperate with criminal detention, investigation and summons of criminal judicial authorities according to law; helps assisting clients in crisis management, emergency intervention and working out the emergency plan; represents clients in handling cross civil-criminal cases; defends clients for suspected criminal offences and assists clients in completing subsequent disposal of criminal assets involved and so on.
