Mr. Kai Zhou graduated from University of International Business and Economics with Bachelor of Law with specialisation in international business law, and the London School of Economics and Political Science with MSc in Law and Accounting. In recent years, Mr. Zhou has studied in economics and politics at the University of Chicago.
Prior to making partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng, Mr. Zhou has practiced at leading law firms for multiple years. And since 2006, he had worked for six years with China Ministry of Transport, an inter-governmental organization in the UK, and CITIC Securities within legal teams of responsibilities concerning finance and construction law.
In the best interest of clients, he participates in large and complicated commercial disputes through litigation and arbitration, as well as develops internal compliance programs that are consist with regulatory and commercial practice for corporates. In particular, he focuses on commercial dispute resolution and white-collar crime-related matters, through litigation and arbitration in areas of corporate equity, trust, asset management, international sales of goods, shipping and admiralty, along with insider trading. He has represented clients that are significant in industries.
