Recently, Mr. Zhang Guanglei, partner of Jingtian & Gongcheng, was selected as “Top 10 Outstanding Young Lawyers in 2018” by CLECSS.
Mr. Zhang earned his degrees of LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. in Law from China University of Political Science & Law. During his time in the US, obtained his LL.M. degree from The George Washington University Law School and was also a visiting scholar at Columbia University Law School. He has been admitted to practice in the PRC and the State of New York.
Mr. Zhang specializes in dispute resolution and has represented clients in hundreds of cases before China International Economic & Trade Arbitration Commission and its branches, Shanghai International Arbitration Center, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, Beijing International Arbitration Center, Zhuhai International Court of Arbitration, Hong Kong International Arbitration Center and courts of different levels in China. Mr. Zhang has represented clients in many leading cases. Among those, “Tuniu” trademark infringement litigation case was accredited as annual top 10 IP cases by Beijing High People’s Court.
He has extensive experience in planning comprehensive strategies in investment and financing disputes, especially cross-border transaction disputes and served as PRC law counsel and expert witness in lawsuits and arbitrations in the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc.
Since 2016, CLESS has launched the "Top 10 Outstanding Young Lawyers Award" program in recognition of outstanding young lawyers with excellent professional achievement and character, which has attracted wide attention from the legal profession. The selection committee is composed of senior legal personnel. The list takes into account the educational background, professional field, professional achievements and geographical factors of the candidates. Among the top 10 lawyers on the list, five are partners of top Chinese law firms, two are from American law firms, and three are from American listed companies, investment funds and state-owned banks.
