Ms. Yang Wan became a partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2017. Her primary areas of practice are cross-border investment and mergers & acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, antitrust filings, compliance, and international trade.
Ms. Wan has extensive experience in cross-border investment and mergers & acquisitions, as well as in the private equity sector. She has represented renowned investment institutions, listed companies, and industry-leading firms, providing comprehensive legal services for their domestic and international M&A and financing transactions. Her services encompass transaction structure design, legal due diligence, commercial negotiations, drafting and closing of transaction documents, and issuance of legal opinions. Ms. Wan is adept at identifying investment risks, understanding transaction complexities, proposing constructive solutions, and efficiently facilitating transactions across various industries, including internet, pharmaceuticals/healthcare, finance, education, manufacturing, and international trade.
In the field of competition law/antitrust, Ms. Wan has handled dozens of simple and regular merger filings in China, antitrust administrative penalty cases, and compliance consultations. Her work covers platform economics, global filings, and minority equity investment filings, across industries such as internet, real estate, pharmaceuticals, automobile retail, high-tech, and other traditional manufacturing sectors.
Ms. Wan has provided operational compliance consulting for numerous large and medium-sized enterprises, amassing rich experience in corporate legal risk management. She has also served as legal counsel for multiple multinational companies, offering legal advice on cross-border investments and international trade matters.
Ms. Wan holds a Master of Laws degree from University of International Business and Economics Law School and a Master of Laws degree from University of California-Berkeley School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in China and California, the United States.
