Jingtian& Gongcheng has recently been appointed as the permanent PRC legal counsel by Telefonica.

Telefonica is one of the world's largest telecommunications companies by market cap. Its activities are centered mainly on the fixed and mobile telephony businesses in Europe and Latin America. It is the second largest shareholder of China Unicom based on current 8.37% stake in the latter.
