Mr. Yong ZHAO graduated from Zhejiang University and Thomas Jefferson School of Law with bachelor’s degree in law and master’s degree in law (American Legal Studies).
Mr. ZHAO joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in October 2023 and was approved to be a partner（Prior to this, he worked 5 years with Beijing Deheng Law Offices as a partner）.
Mr. ZHAO specializes in IPO, investment, finance, M&A, outbound investment, FDI, and banking. He advises clients of semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and biotechnology sectors on finance, investment, acquisitions, export control, cross-border transaction, and IPO. Mr. ZHAO has extensive experience in the overall risk control, transaction structuring, sophisticated problem solving and negotiation.
Mr. Zhao has advised China Cinda Asset, Zhejiang Development Asset, Zhejiang Xinghe Investment and Hangzhou Jintou Digital Technology Group on investment, acquisition, and innovative transaction. In securities issuance and capital market, Mr. Zhao is experienced in corporate restructuring and public offering. Specializing in sophisticated problem solving, Mr. ZHAO has advised Europteam Consultants Ltd., of UK on its ship building technology cooperation with COSCO Shipyard, Atlântico Sul Shipyard and Petrobras, and has advised Smilegate Holdings, Inc., on cross-border investment policies.
Mr. Zhao was admitted to P.R.China Bar in 2012.
