Jason Du is a Registered Foreign Lawyer (admitted in New York) of Jingtian & Gongcheng LLP (“the Firm”). Jason is based in Hong Kong. In this role, he will draw upon his extensive experience in representing issuers and managers in investment grade and high-yield bond offerings and further strengthen the Firm’s Debt Capital Markets capabilities and market position as international counsel.
Over the past decade, Jason has provided top-quality, commercial and pragmatic advice to a wide range of PRC issuers and investment bank clients. The issuer clients he represented include central-level SOEs, large SOEs and financial institutions, local SOEs and leading private companies in China, spanning across construction and infrastructure, real estate, automotive and manufacturing, energy and natural resources, financial services, and technology sectors. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng LLP, Jason worked at a large international firm. He also previously worked at a Magic Circle firm and a leading US law firm in Hong Kong.
Jason has been focusing on capital markets practice in Hong Kong for over 10 years. He is qualified in the State of New York and also has a PRC bar qualification. Jason graduated from top law schools in the US, Europe and China and he holds Master’s degrees from New York University, Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Renmin University of China. Jason is a native Mandarin-speaker and speaks English and French.
