Ms. Yang Bo was admitted to PRC bar in 2005.

Ms. Yang Bo joined Jingtian & Gongcheng since January 2020 and was approved to be a partner by the firm in the same year.(Prior to this, she worked over ten years with Wang Jing & Co. as a partner.)

Ms. Yang Bo specializes mainly in the areas of maritime engineering, international trade, international arbitration, resolution of foreign-related commercial disputes, maritime & admiralty, logistics, insurance, corporate & commercial, foreign investment, and intellectual property.

Ms. Yang Bo has rich experience in ship and offshore engineering. She has, on behalf of domestic and foreign enterprises, dealt with a number of non-litigation disputes, litigations and arbitrations relating to ship sale and purchase, ship construction, financing lease of special ship, offshore platform construction, jetties and coastal facilities construction, including assisting Chinese enterprises in handling disputes and non-disputes related to construction of railways, jetties and other infrastructure in "One Belt And One Road" countries.

Ms. Yang Bo also has extensive experience in the area of international trade. She has assisted several domestic and foreign companies with handling complicated foreign-related commercial dispute and disputes over international trade of bulk commodity, inclusive of litigations, arbitrations and non-litigation matters concerning import and export trade, commodity futures trading, trade financing, letter of credit, foreign exchange, tariff, etc..Ms. Yang Bo is member of both GAFTA and FOSFA; she has been retained by large domestic and overseas enterprises of grain and oil to deal with a number of disputes and arbitrations on trade contracts of GAFTA and FOSFA on and thus has unique professional experience in the area.

Ms. Yang Bo has professional knowledge and years of experience in the areas of maritime, admiralty, insurance, and logistics. She has for years been retained by P&I clubs, shipowners and insurance companies to deal with maritime, admiralty and insurance litigations and non-contentious matters of various types, inclusive of litigations and arbitrations in relation to bill of lading, charter party, loss of or damage to goods, ship collision, oil pollution, crew labor, insurance and reinsurance, etc..

Ms. Yang Bo also has experience in handling cases relating to foreign investment, equity merger and acquisition, labor dispute, intellectual property, etc.. She has for a long period been appointed as legal counsel by renowned domestic and international companies such as CCCC Marine Construction & Development Co., Ltd, CMA CGM, etc..

assisted a domestic enterprise in handling legal matters relating to contract on Philippine reclamation project;

assisted a domestic enterprise in handling legal matters relating to ship sale and purchase, finance lease, transfer & delivery;

retained by overseas enterprises to deal with a number of disputes over international trade of bulk farm-products, involving multiple legal issues like FOSFA standard grain contracts, futures pricing, trade finance, Usance L/C, import agency and issuing, etc.; provided clients with provision of professional legal advice; assisted clients with FOSFA arbitration in London, finally obtained winning arbitration award; the accumulative amounts in dispute exceeded USD 20 million;

retained by a domestic client to handle a dispute on international trade of bulk palm oil, involving L/C dispute and GAFTA arbitration; pursued GAFTA arbitration on behalf of client in the UK and obtained winning arbitral award; all losses were successfully recovered;

retained by an American company to provide legal advice on foreign exchange and tariff issues related to trade in China; communicated and coordinated with banks, foreign exchange management departments and tax departments on behalf of clients;

retained by a state-owned enterprise to deal with a litigation dispute over marine towage contract, and successfully acquired a winning judgment; the amount involved was around RMB 50 million; the case was adopted by the Supreme People's court to be included into The Typical Maritime Cases of “The Belt and Road" Judicial Theory and Practice and into the case base of www.cnlaw.net by the Ministry of Justice;

retained by a state-owned enterprise to deal with a dispute over bill of lading and charter party related to bulk transport, involving domestic lawsuits, Hong Kong lawsuits, LMAA arbitration, and an amount exceeding USD5,000,000;

retained by a large international insurance company to handle insurance claim cases caused by ship sinking, involving wreck salvage, salvage, assessment, repair, insurance claim, etc., with an amount of about RMB 20 million involved;

retained by several large international shipping enterprises to handle disputes in relation to delivery of goods by sea arising from importing waste and obtained winning judgments;

retained by a large domestic insurance company to deal with a retrial lawsuit concerning dispute over co-insurance agreement against another insurance company;
